Amanda
Amanda Mitchell
Brought up in Kenya, where many a school holiday was spent in the bush or on the beach , Amanda has a well developed love of the African outdoors. After secondary school in the English countryside, her parents left her in safe hands in a lodge in Namibia where she was to make herself useful for her gap year. Unable to sit still for long, she absconded and went exploring throughout Namibia, Zimbabwe, Mozambique and Botswana. She ended up back in Kenya after an extended adventure in a 1958 land rover named Delilah, where her last pair of shoes was eaten by a striped hyena.
Amanda has worked for a decade at many levels of the Africa travel industry from guiding and lodge management to operations and organising safaris. She is passionate about both the people and the environment of Africa and gets irrationally excited about exploring new places. Now based in Zimbabwe, Amanda is responsible for researching the southern Africa region and helping folk to plan trips to this diverse area. She strays from her desk regularly in search of firsthand experience.
Recent trips include the Eastern Highlands, Hwange and Matobo National Parks in Zimbabwe and the South Luangwa and Lower Zambezi National Parks in Zambia.

At Natural High, we've all lived and worked in Africa, so our knowledge is born of
hands-on experience rather than simply visiting on holiday. We can't over-stress how
worthwhile it is to take a few minutes to call us. We're not in the business churning
out thousands of packages so if you'd like to discuss things in detail, take a few
minutes and call Catherine, Fiona, Vanessa or Alex on 1747 898104.close
