How much does a safari cost

Unfortunately this is rather like asking what it costs to shop at Waitrose.  The answer of course depends on whether you're planning to live off fillet steak or Pedigree Chum.  The choices - and the quality - on safari can vary considerably.

However, we know how annoying this answer can be, so here is a rough guideline, to give you an idea of where you should be thinking.  A good safari will begin at around £3500 per person including international flights for a two week trip, split between safari and the beach. If you're being offered something for much less, you might want to have a good look at the detail of what is being suggested.

How we can help you

Because everything we do is tailor-made, we're here to help you decide what you put in your trolley, to help you avoid the dog food that looks like fillet steak and to help you pack your shopping at the end (is the supermarket analogy wearing thin...?).

We individually book every element of your trip, giving you the greatest flexibility to spend your money on the things that matter to you.  And when you're ready we stick the whole thing together into a package that works. This also gives you the protection of our ATOL license which you wouldn't get if you were booking direct.  When you're on safari we're there to help if things do go wrong (delayed flights, missed connections etc).  Have a look at what we do.

Comparing apples and fish

We'd encourage you to make comparisons to make sure you get what best suits you, but the thing you need to be most careful of is comparing apples with apples.  And unfortunately this does take a bit of time.  But it is worth doing as the devil is in the detail.

Exactly where is your camp located?

Is it in the right location for the time of year?

Are your vehicles shared or private?

Just how good is your guide going to be?

How many rooms are there at the camp.

The list goes on, and as you'd expect each of these questions relates to price.

Ultimately you need to know the facts to be able to make a choice.  We're here to help you navigate all these choices and look at the numerous options.  And you dont need to commit a thing until you're happy with the whole thing.
