What we do
Booking your safari arrangements is only a very small part of what we do for you. By definition it represents the culmination of a long process. And remember that when you book with us, the price you pay is the same as you'd pay if you were to book direct with the camps and lodges.
Research & analysis. Standards in camps can and do change. Not only can ownership alter quite regularly, managers and guides swop around constantly and between them they can make or break a place. Some areas and camps are extremely seasonal but they themselves may not be too quick to say much about that. Some excel for game, some maybe for specific activities (particularly good walking safaris perhaps) and some, thankfully very few, are good for not much at all. We are continually visiting camps, talking with managers, guides and travellers, updating our knowledge all the time to ensure that when we make recommendations we can stand full square behind them.
Objective advice. Objectivity is a precious thing and we're here to represent YOU in this process. We'll listen hard to what it is you want (or rather what you initially think you want, in reality this often changes as the options are revealed in detail), we'll propose and price a whole variety of alternatives, depending on the make up of your group, your interests, time of travel, previous experience on safari and your budget. We can be completely candid about any seasonal variations, a camps particular strengths and weaknesses and its genuine value for money when set against others in the area.
Reservations. Once we've done the hard part of establishing together what type of trip will best suit, we'll amass the availability of each component, whether it be camp, guide, flights or transfers, get everything coordinated and booked up.
Support & back up. Once everything is confirmed, the co-ordination doesn't stop. Just sometimes in Africa things might stray from the plan. It doesn't happen often but when it does you want to know that someone's on hand to take responsibility in helping you sort things out fast. That's when we step in. A missed connection, lost bags, maybe the camp isn't what you expected (sometimes too much game, sometimes too little) .... working with our contacts on the ground, we'll immediately get to work on your behalf to ensure that your arrangements get back on track with the minimum of inconvenience.
ATOL protection assured. As a resident in the UK, when you book through us your holiday is fully protected by our ATOL bond. We can give you more details on this as required.
