A vast concession of 232,000ha on the northern border of Botswana, bordered on the east by the Kwando river and to the south by the Selinda Concession. Kwando is an exclusive concession with only two small camps. 80km of permanent river frontage offers refuge to abundant hippo and crocodile while the open flood plains to the west are home to a wide variety of plains game, large numbers of lion, wild dog, hyena and cheetah. Sitatunga and lechwe inhabit the reedbeds and there are also over 300 species of bird. The advantage of visiting Kwando is the exclusivity it offers and the flexibility that is the watchword of the two camps in this area.
