A good all round experience that offers comfort, exclusivity and flexibility in a good game area.

This small luxury tented camp stands among Marula and African Ebony trees on the banks of the Kwando River and offers guests a perfect balance between exclusivity, indulgence and a true wildlife experience. The camp emphasises a commitment towards flexibility and personal attention where activities are tailored around the needs of the guests, rather than imposing a rigid schedule.

At the two Kwando properties, Lagoon and Lebala, families are accommodated and allocated a private vehicle and guides experienced in entertaining children are available for an additional fee, giving parents a chance for some me-time while the 'rug-rats' get involved in activities that will educate and amuse them.

The camp boasts the full complement of Delta wildlife with the added specials of wild dog which continue to den near the camp every year, and lion which have developed a taste for super-size meals; frequently predating on hippo, elephant and buffalo.  As an added bonus, spotted-necked otters can sometimes be seen right from your tent as they gambol in the lagoon.

Linyanti Kwando

A vast concession of 232,000ha on the northern border of Botswana, bordered on the east by the Kwando river and to the south by the Selinda Concession. Kwando is an exclusive concession with only two small camps. 80km of permanent river frontage offers refuge to abundant hippo and crocodile while the open flood plains to the west are home to a wide variety of plains game, large numbers of lion, wild dog, hyena and cheetah. Sitatunga and lechwe inhabit the reedbeds and there are also over 300 species of bird. The advantage of visiting Kwando is the exclusivity it offers and the flexibility that is the watchword of the two camps in this area. Read more?

Botswana

Safaris in Botswana offer dramatic extremes.  One the one hand, the lush landscapes of the Okavango Delta and the Linyanti/Chobe River systems, on the other, the beautiful other-worldly expanse of the Makgadikgadi Pans and the Kalahari Desert.  The variety of habitats makes for varied animal and birdlife as well as beautiful scenery.   Strict controls mean that Botswana safari camps and lodges are generally small, and due to the tricky logistics of operating in a delta or a desert, a safari here is seldom cheap, and it's important to know where to go if you are looking for that authentic safari experience.
