An intimate camp in a prime location offering a full range of activities and a flexible approach

Little Kwara is a brand new camp, ideally placed to explore the best of the Delta. Most of the activities tend to focus around the network of channels around the islands, reedbeds and lagoons where the multitude of herbivores, crocodile, hippo and elephant congregate. The big cats, hyena and wild dog are regularly seen here and for those that are interested in birdlife or fishing, there is plenty of both on offer here.

Little Kwara offers travellers a high level of privacy and flexibility along with a fabulous wildlife experience and comfortable, well-appointed accommodation.

Linyanti Kwando

A vast concession of 232,000ha on the northern border of Botswana, bordered on the east by the Kwando river and to the south by the Selinda Concession. Kwando is an exclusive concession with only two small camps. 80km of permanent river frontage offers refuge to abundant hippo and crocodile while the open flood plains to the west are home to a wide variety of plains game, large numbers of lion, wild dog, hyena and cheetah. Sitatunga and lechwe inhabit the reedbeds and there are also over 300 species of bird. The advantage of visiting Kwando is the exclusivity it offers and the flexibility that is the watchword of the two camps in this area. Read more?

Botswana

Botswana safaris offer dramatic extremes.  On the one hand, the lush landscapes of the Okavango Delta and the Linyanti and Chobe River systems, on the other, the beautiful other-worldly expanse of the Makgadikgadi Pans and the Kalahari Desert.  The variety of habitats makes for varied animal and birdlife as well as beautiful scenery.   Strict controls mean that Botswana safari camps and lodges are generally small, and due to the tricky logistics of operating in a delta or a desert, safaris in Botswana are seldom cheap.  There are however many excellent options to consider.  Top of the list in our opinion are some of Botswana's mobile safari camps, these come in a couple of basic shapes, both of which are aimed at giving you a private experience using private campsites in quiet remote locations.  We use luxury moble camps and light mobile camps to great effect here and this is certainly something to consider if you're looking for great value and a unique experience. Rumour has it that Catherine Ronan used to be a spy. We find this slightly hard to believe as she loves nothing more than to divulge her travel secrets and infect other people with her enthusiasm.
