A comfortable, yet simple place with the greatest advantage being it's great location and isolation

Duba Plains is an intimate camp on a private 30,000 ha concession, in the far north west of the Delta, where it starts to spread.

The rooms are tented in the loosest sense of the word, and are immaculately furnished and equipped. The camp commands stunning views over the plains and the open fronted dining room gives a very pleasant feeling of being a part of the landscape.

Activities here are primarily land-based, and the area affords regular sightings of lion, elephant, huge herds of buffalo and the rare aardwolf along with a large variety of other herbivores and birdlife. When water-levels allow, there is the opportunity to explore by dug-out. For those that want to be sure not to see another car or tourist, this is where you want to be.

Linyanti

The Linyanti Wildlife Reserve is a private concession on the western boundary of the Chobe National Park, with the Linyanti River to the north, on the border with Namibia's Caprivi Strip.  Consisting of 125,000 hectares of flood plaines, marshes, grassland and forests, the Linyanti Reserves plays home to a large variety of wildlife, particularly large populations of elephant which migrate toward the lush plains of the river in the dry winter months (May - June) and remain until the rains in November or December. Botswana

Safaris in Botswana offer dramatic extremes.  One the one hand, the lush landscapes of the Okavango Delta and the Linyanti/Chobe River systems, on the other, the beautiful other-worldly expanse of the Makgadikgadi Pans and the Kalahari Desert.  The variety of habitats makes for varied animal and birdlife as well as beautiful scenery.   Strict controls mean that Botswana safari camps and lodges are generally small, and due to the tricky logistics of operating in a delta or a desert, a safari here is seldom cheap, and it's important to know where to go if you are looking for that authentic safari experience.
