Good value in a prime Delta position
Gunn's Camp is a small classic tented camp on a private concession on the southern border of the Moremi Game Reserve. Recently renovated and re-opened with 6 tents instead of 8, Gunn's represents a good value option for the Delta.
The camp is set on wooden platforms and is located near the southern end of the game mecca of Chief's Island. The camp is attractively built with striking views over the reedbeds and lily-covered lagoons that characterise the Delta. A highlight is the honeymoon suite which is built into the branches of a large African Ebony tree.
Aside from the motor-boat trips and bush walks that are the main focus of activities from the Camp, there is also the possibility of packing a dug-out mokoro for overnight camping and taking a meander through the reeds to find an isolated island where your guide will help to set up camp and you can experience a real escape from everything. As with most camps in this part of the Delta, you can expect great birdlife and game viewing although do note that it isn't possible to game drive from here due to high water levels all year round.
