Whether you’re bumping down a narrow Old Delhi lane in the back of a cycle rickshaw to the largest mosque in Asia, gawping at the austere classical architecture of Lutyens' New Delhi or wondering ‘what would Gandhi think of India now?’ when visiting his home, there’s an almost limitless number of things to do in Delhi.
Regrettably, being pushed for time and struggling with the mass of people, pollution and traffic, most visitors rarely stay in the capital for more than a day or two. However, the city is absolutely chock-a-block with architectural gems and an incredible history that our excellent guides bring to life to make a wonderful introduction to India.
Delhi is the entry point for journeys around north India and Rajasthan and it also has comprehensive air and rail links with the rest of the country, so if you visit India again you may have the chance to explore it further. As one would expect of a capital city, there is huge choice of accommodation and dining options as well as shopping opportunities to suit every budget and taste.
