Combining a safari with a few days on the beach is an ideal way to offset the sometimes quite tiring days in the bush.
If you're on safari in Kenya, then {Lamu Island} and the {Kenya Coast} offer an enormous range of options. After a Tanzania Safari the {Tanzania Coast} is probably less well known that of {Zanzibar} and {Pemba Island}, while {Mafia Island} is a relatvely little known haven for divers and those in search of a beach experience with a difference.
For those looking for something more remote and altogether unusual, then the islands of the Quirimbas Archipelago such as {Vamizi Island}, {Ibo Island} and {Quilalea Island} offer some of the region's finest beaches and are easily accessible from East Africa.
