Located about 4km from the {Wolwedans Dune Lodge}, the Tented Camp is a similar property, just on a slightly smaller scale (but barely). With tented rooms on wooden platforms, this is more of a simple tented lodge and possesses none of the rustic qualities or impermanence of a tented camp. A large bedroom backs onto an en-suite bathroom and gives way to a super-size wooden deck verandah with a lovely view. A major bonus is the notable lack of mosquitoes here so you can sleep with your tent wide open.
There is a cosy lounge and dining area, but no pool. Guests can use the pool and facilities at the Dune Lodge but it’s quite a long walk in hot sand and so you would need to be dropped off for the afternoon. Wolwedans takes great pride in the training of its Desert Chefs and so you can be assured of some delicious and innovative cuisine.
Activities here make the most of the stunning surroundings, beautiful sunsets and unique desert fauna. It can be just as rewarding to sit and enjoy the stillness. The views from the summit of the ridge of sand dunes are across wide valleys dotted with fairy circles and beyond to the dramatic rocky mountains. It is a place of surreal colour, unusual creatures and big skies.

It is a place of surreal natural beauty, characterised by the rich red sand of the Namib, and the craggy creased mountains of the Naukluft.
