Foxes Katavi Wildlife camp is set back in amongst the bush on the edge of Chada flood plains. The camp is relatively small, with just 8 walk-in tents, all on wooden platforms which stretch out for a few metres in front allowing you to have your own private veranda to sit and admire the view of the plains ahead of you.

The tents are modestly furnished and with sturdy beds and tables and a few mkeka mats and a couple of chairs. The camp is owned by Foxes Safaris who have various camps and lodges all over Tanzania.

Katavi National Park

Katavi National Park is remote, undeveloped and, at certain times of year, bristling with big wild animals. Until just a few years ago Chada Camp was the only place to stay and it was very little visited with the only access being via one of two little planes that ground their way between here and Arusha (one flown by the then owner of Chada, Roland Purcell, and the other by Alex in pre Natural High days).
