Mikindani just north of the Mozambique border was described by Livingstone as "the finest harbour on the coast"

Mikindani just north of the Mozambique border was described by Livingstone as "the finest harbour on the coast".   It is a beautiful natural bay with white, sandy, palm fringed beaches with the Mnazi Bay Marine Reserve within easy reach (great for diving and snorkelling).   This is an area very unexploited by tourism as getting to it requires some travelling.  However it is well worth the journey if getting away from the crowds and being remote and adventurous is your bag.
