Sable Mountain Lodge is located just outside of the park, near to the Mtembwe gate, built on one of the Beho Beho hills where you have great views of the Uluguru Mountains and the park gates are about 15 minutes drive away.

There is a selection of accommodation here with eight stone cottages individually spaced out over the hillside and five tented bandas, two of which are honeymoon suites. All the interiors are well furnished with large beds, writing desks and chairs to relax in. Although not on the river, the lodge does have a tree house overlooking a small waterhole which is frequently visited. There is no real ''wow'' factor to this lodge, it is not ultra luxurious but it is good value for money and you are very well looked after.
