Game drives, night drives, walks, game viewing/overnight in a hide

Kaingo (not to be confused with Kaingu Lodge in Kafue) is family owned and run by Derek and Jules Shenton who provide a personal and friendly atmosphere. It is in one of the prime areas of the South Luangwa National Park and overlooks the river.

There are 4 standard chalets made of local bricks and thatch which are simply furnished and comfortable. The honeymoon suite, is more reeds and thatch and has a luxurious bath overlooking the river and after you have totally relaxed from you bubble filled bath, you can lie in bed and watch the stars through the innovative skylight above the bed.

Kaingo offer three game viewing activies during the day (unlike most of the other camps).  They have a hide where you can sit or even spend the night.   The lodge has a slightly less polished feel than some of the others in the Luangwa which is not unappealing.    You can combine time at Kaingo with it's little bush camp Mwamba.
