Robin’s House

South Luangwa National Park, Zambia

3/3

A private safari house, ideal for families or private groups, with the benefit of a private car and guide and total flexibility.

Formerly the home of Robin and Joe Pope, Robin's House lies nearby Nkwali, but within it's own exclusive area and is ideal for a family of up to 5 or 6, honeymooners or a group of friends looking for a little privacy.

The house is lovely and light and rather more enclosed than the rooms in the camp which is ideal for a family with quite young or nervous children.  There is a big double room with en suite bathroom and a big twin room where a third bed can be included; each with its own bathroom.   All the rooms have wonderful views of the Luangwa River and you don't have to move from your spot since there is a private kitchen and chef, along with a valet, so meals can be served where and when you like.  You also have a private guide and safari vehicle for the game viewing activities.

The area around Robin's House is very good for game and you do not need to go through the main gates into the Luangwa National Park, but can cross into the park either by pontoon or in the dry season by fording the river.

South Luangwa National Park

The Luangwa Valley is probably Zambia's best known wildlife area. As well as having very good all-round game, Luangwa is somewhere that has gained a well deserved reputation for walking safaris, though there is a great deal more to do above and beyond. The park consists of large amounts of woodland; miombo interspersed with grass lands in the north of the park and large stands of mature ebony forming deep shade along the banks of the river.
