Best places for walking in Botswana
Walking safaris in Botswana vary from a gentle stroll to a multi-day mobile safari on foot.
In the National Parks (i.e. Chobe National Park, Moremi Game Reserve), it is generally not possible to walk. However, many camps, especially in the Delta, occupy land within private concessions where walking is permitted. Within these areas, walking may depend on the levels of the flood water, but generally it will be possible to have a leg-stretch if not a marathon hike. For the very eager walkers, there are multi-day walking safaris on offer in the Delta and also along the Linyanti.
