Nepal itinerary suggestion - exploring the Kathmandu Valley

The huge stupa at Boudhanath

Each of our journeys in Nepal is tailor-made to suit your own interests, preferred style of accommodation, pace of travel and budget. Using a private car and driver, the following is a suggestion of how a trip might look if you would like to explore the Kathmandu Valley.

Arrive in Kathmandu. With your private guide, discover the capital’s old city with its narrow winding streets, medieval temples and palaces, and visit the ‘Monkey Temple’ an ancient Buddhist stupa on a hill top at Swayambhunath.

Taka a scenic flight over Everest for spectacular views of the world’s highest mountain. Visit Pashupatinath, Nepal’s most important Hindu temple on the sacred Bagmati River and the large Tibetan Buddhist stupa at Boudhanath in time for evening prayers.

Make an excursion to Patan and its excellent museum before visiting Bhaktapur , the third royal city of the Kathmandu Valley.

End your tour with some relaxation in the village of Dhulikhel on the eastern rim of the valley to enjoy gentle strolls in the surrounding countryside and spectacular views of the Himalaya.

Return to Kathmandu for your international flight.
