After arriving by international flight to Calcutta you might like to spend a few days exploring India’s cultural capital before flying to Assam. Transfer to Kaziranga National Park.

Rise early for morning safaris on elephant back through the mists for close up encounters with the Indian One-horned Rhinoceros. Return in the afternoons for jeep safaris in Kaziranga’s grasslands and forests in search of elephant, barasingha and tiger.

Watch a myriad of waterfowl from a lakeside hide and make an excursion to the nearby reserve forest to look for Hoolock Gibbon.

Embark the ABN Sukapha or Charaidew river boats for a three or four night cruise on the Brahmaputra River stopping to visit villages, temples and other places of interest en route.

With more time available you might like to end your trip with a few days relaxation at an Assamese tea bungalow.

Transfer to Guwahati and fly to Calcutta or Delhi for your onward flight.
