What should I do with two weeks in Morocco?
Excellent as Morocco is for a short break, it’s diversity of scenery and culture can only be fully explored on a longer trip. We would recommend starting in the imperial city of Fez, believed to be the most perfectly preserved Medieval city in the world, before continuing to Marrakech by car or train and then into the High Atlas mountains.
Driving down the stunning Tiz n Tichka pass to Ouarzazate, some days can then be spent exploring the Deep South – the Valley of the Roses, the Draa and Dades Gorges and staying at a desert camp to see the sun rise over the dunes at Merzouga. The itinerary can then finish at a fabulous riad in the walled medina of {Essaouira} on the Atlantic coast.
