When to visit the Okavango
Wildlife does vary considerably across the delta at different times of the year, however, peak season is between the dry months of July to October, when wildlife congregates around water sources and the bush is thinner, making animals more visible. However, if you’re a keen birder and like trees, November – March is the time to go. May and June are great if you want to visit when it’s a little quieter, and are happy to look a little harder for your animals. Some camps close over the rainy season between December and March.
