When you compare Tanzania to other countries in Africa, its national parks hold a staggering amount of wildlife, both in terms of volume and variety. Tanzania is large scale country where getting off the beaten track and still seeing first class wildlife is a reality. After years of working in the field in Tanzania, we are in a better position that most to call ourselves Tanzania specialists. Feel free to read about us then give us a call to discuss your plans in detail.

This site contains detailed and candid information on all game parks in Tanzania, the best Safari Camps and Lodges and the different types of safari available. We offer everything from luxury safaris to remote walking safaris and most things in between. We also have a detailed site on Kenya where you will find detailed reviews of Kenya's off the beaten track parks and camps.

Do you need some help with this?Call +44(0)1747 898104
At Natural High, we've all lived and worked in Africa, so our knowledge is born of hands-on experience rather than simply visiting on holiday. We can't over-stress how worthwhile it is to take a few minutes to call us. We're not in the business of churning out thousands of packages so if you'd like to discuss things in detail, take a few minutes and call Catherine, Fiona, Vanessa & Alex on +44(0)1747 898104.

Northern Tanzania Safaris -

Serengeti National Park
Ngorongoro Crater and Highlands
The Wildebeest Migration
Lake Manyara National Park
Tarangire National Park
Lake Natron
The Serengeti is the best known area for a safari in Tanzania, if not the whole of Africa, and still one of the most rewarding places to visit. We use private landrovers and guides, small privately owned lodges and mobile tented camps to show you the best of the Serengeti - off the beaten track.

Southern Tanzania Safaris-
Selous Game Reserve
Ruaha National Park
Selous and Ruaha are lesser known and lesser visited than the parks in the north like the Serengeti. These parks are remote and only accessible by air. The Selous - Africa's largest Game Reserve - is all about walking safaris, boat safaris and fly-camping as well as game driving, while Ruaha offers exceptional all round game viewing including some of east Africa's best lion / buffalo interaction.

Western Tanzania Safaris-
Mahale Mountains National Park
Lake Tanganyika
Katavi National Park
This region of Tanzania is quite simply miles from anywhere and mercifully free from all but the more intrepid tourists. Mahale offers unique scenery and some of the best chimpanzee tracking safaris, while Katavi, almost devoid of infrastructure is home densities of large mammals second only to the Serengeti and remains one of the best locations for a truly authentic African experience.

The best places to visit in Tanzania this winter. Between December and March, Northern Tanzania is arguably at its best for a safari.

If you're looking for a safari this winter, with large concentrations of wildlife, but want to leave the crowds behind, think about making the lesser known areas of northern Tanzania the focus of your safari. Alternatively, for detailed month by month safari information look at our interactive Tanzania Highlights section.

Zanzibar and Pemba Islands -
Zanzibar Stone Town
Zanzibar Coast
Pemba Island
and Mafia Island
The Islands are the natural place to relax for a week or so before or after your safari in Tanzania. The cultural experience of Zanzibar Stone Town is in stark contrast to the mellow pace of life on the pristine white beaches of Zanzibar and Pemba.
