In the North, Kiwayu is an age old favourite and deserves its reputation of relative solititude when contrasted with the hustle & bustle of Lamu Island or to a lesser degree Manda Island, some 20 minutes by boat from Lamu itself.
Just south of this, and generally overlooked is the vast Tana Delta.
