Kelly and Matt are spending just over 2 weeks in Tanzania, beginning with a week on safari, with a private Landrover and guide in northern Tanzania, and ending with a week on the island of Zanzibar in the Indian Ocean.
Welcome to Kelly and Matt's honeymoon page!
You can see here where we're going, what we're doing and where we're going to stay. We thought this would be a better way to mark the occasion of our wedding rather than a list of tea towels and toasters!
Looking forward to seeing you on the day.
Love,
Kelly & Matt x |

On the 20th September, Kelly and Matt fly overnight from London to Dar es Salaam with BA. On arrival, they connect on to a domestic flight which takes them up to Arusha in the north of Tanzania. Here, they'll meet their driver guide and head off into the Rift Valley for their first stop at Lake Manyara National Park. They'll be spending 2 nights at Lake Manyara Serena Lodge perched high up on the Rift Valley Escarpment with stunning views over the lake below.
On the 23rd September, they depart from Lake Manyara and climb up into the Ngorongoro Crater and Highlands, a short distance away to the east. Here they'll be staying at Ngorongoro Serena Lodge on the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater.
After 2 nights at Ngorongoro, on the 25th September, Matt and Kelly drive out of the highlands and down into the Serengeti National Park. This is one of the best known wildlife areas in the world and is home to fantastic concentrations of animals and birds. Kelly and Matt have 3 days in which to explore the Serengeti, based at Mbuzi Mawe Tented Camp in the north central Serengeti.
On the 28th September, Kelly and Matt will leave their guide and be flown out of the Serengeti and south east to Zanzibar, arriving in the early afternoon. Here they begin with 6 nights staying at Matemwe Bungalows on the white sandy beaches of the East coast of the island. This is a wonderful place to relax after the exertions of the safari - no more early morning starts! For their final night, they will leave the East Coast and head to the historic Stone Town of Zanzibar where they will be staying at The Serena Inn, on the sea front of the old town. The next morning, they depart for Dar es Salaam to meet British Airways for their return flight to England |
