Steve and Katie will be spending two weeks in Tanzania, combining a safari in the vast and wild Selous Game Reserve in southern Tanzania with a week on the Island of Zanzibar afterwards. Here they'll spend a week on the white sandy beaches of the East Coast, followed by a night in the Stone Town.
Thanks for contributing towards our honeymoon, I'm sure we will have a fantastic time and look forward to sharing our pictures and stories with you,

Steve and Katie begin their honeymoon by flying overnight with British Airways from London Heathrow to Dar es Salaam on the 16th July. They arrive early in the morning on the 17th July and take a small light aircraft for the short flight to Ras Kutani on the coast of Tanzania, just below Dar es Salaam. Here they have two nights to relax and unwind after the wedding.
On the morning of 19th July, Steve and Katie leave Ras Kutani early to transfer back to Dar es Salaam by air. Here they meet a flight into the Selous Game Reserve where they will be staying at Sand Rivers Selous. This is a superb place from which to explore this part of the Selous, or just watch the world go by from your verandah. One of the nights at Sand Rivers will be spent fly camping - sleeping out under the stars in what must be one of the most memorable and exciting ways to do a safari.
On the 23rd July, Steve and Katie will leave the Selous and be flown east to Zanzibar, arriving mid morning. Here they will spend 7 nights staying at Matemwe Bungalows on the white sandy beaches of the East coast of the island. This is a wonderful place to relax after the exertions of the safari - no more early morning starts! For their final night, they will leave the East Coast and head to the historic Stone Town of Zanzibar where they will be staying at The Zanzibar Palace. On their last morning, they depart for Dar es Salaam to meet British Airways for their return flight to England |
