Airport Located National Park Side

This lodge is situated right on the far side of Arusha from Kilimanjaro airport. It's ideally located for the first morning of your safari as you are essentially on the road to Tarangire, Lake Manyara National Park, Ngorongoro Crater and Highlands and Serengeti National Park and it's a walk to Arusha airport (better to drive)

On the down side, it's quite a long haul from Kilimanjaro Airport and seeing as this is usually at night on the day you arrive (if you've come with KLM) this is one of the main reasons we prefer River Trees.

Inside the lodge has been designed to look quite attractive and there are some nice touches like woodburners in all the rooms, some good looking furniture and a swimming pool, but there's definitely something rather 2 dimensional about the place and it has a formulaic South African feel. The place is typified by Redd's restaurant which is located here; the food looks as though it should be good and the descriptions are flowery and full of hope, but the product itself is sadly lacking.
