Kirurumu is a tented safari lodge with stunning views a short distance from Lake Manyara National Park. Walks, cultural visits and mountain biking are on offer as well as game drives in the Park. Kirurumu is built right on the edge of the Great Rift Valley a drive of about twenty minutes from the park gate.

With its spectacular setting two thousand feet above the Rift Valley floor, the views from Kirurumu are breathtaking. Just to the east is the extinct volcano, Lossimingor, which rises to around 8000ft above sea level and the views of this are great as the light changes throughout the day. To the south, Manyara is just visible.

Kirurumu is a well-run camp with an unpretentious feel and great place to stay en route between Tarangire and Ngorongoro Crater and Highlandsor the Serengeti National Park. As well as providing a place to stay between Manyara and Serengeti, Kirurumu offers a range of activities, which aren't available in national parks and that in themselves make this a place worth staying. Cycling on mountain bikes down to the eastern edge of Lake Manyara and walks from camp can easily be arranged. Canoeing on Lake Manyara is on offer and Kirurumu can organise some excellent walks for anything from 1 - 5 days up Lossimingor or along the rift valley.
