Kirurumu Walks Manyara Game Park

There's a fair amount to do at Kirurumu and this is one of the main reasons to stay here. You'll probably be here with your own vehicle and guide, which means that you have the freedom to take game drives in Manyara National Park which is just 20 minutes or so away. As well as game driving from Kirurumu, there are also some pleasant walks to take in the local area (although be aware that you won't be able to walk in Manyara National Park). The area has a number of villages with different tribes and from a cultural perspective this can be interesting, particularly if you avoid the ones right on the main road, where the experience may not be that authentic.

If you like the idea of some serious walking then there are some superb walks over a period of several days, which are based from Kirurumu. These walks explore the rift valley and escarpment, supported with an adventure camp.

Mountain biking can be arranged from Kirurumu - like the walking, you can either take morning or afternoon trips or longer trips over a few days with a lightweight camp. Canoeing on Lake Manyara can also be organised from Kirurumu.
