Manyara Serena Lodge Park Lake

As well as game viewing in Lake Manyara National Park, which you'll be able to do at times that suit you with a private car and guide, there are quite a few activities at Manyara Serena Lodge which take advantage of the fact that you're outside a national park.

The area where Manyara Serena Lodge is located is populated by a number of different tribes and it can be interesting to spend a bit of time visiting local villages. However, this area is quite firmly on the tourist route from Arusha to Ngorongoro and Serengeti, so expect a fairly shrewd commercial approach by many locals. Mountain biking safaris are available from Manyara Serena Lodge and these can be well worth while. You can take morning or afternoon trips and even head off around the eastern side of Lake Manyara fly camping over night for a couple of days, ending up close to Tarangire.
