Style Meru Lodge Gardens Spectacular

Another good choice of hotel in Arusha. Ngaresero is an old german colonial farmhouse, in a beautiful location - it's in Usa River about 20 minutes from Kilimanjaro Aiport and sits on the foothills of Mt Meru. The lodge has quite a bit of style with some really spectacular gardens and a lake which attracts affair bit of birdlife, including fish eagles, which is a serious bonus in this part of the world.

Rooms are comfortable and stylish and this is a good place to overnight before or after a safari. Things can be slightly unpredictable here, which can be charming if you are fairly laid back, but could be annoying if you prefer a tightly run ship. In summary a good place to stay if you're happy to enjoy the beautiful location and take things as they come.
