Ngorongoro Serena Lodge - Safari Activities

Ngorongoro Serena Lodge is the closest lodge to the southern access road to the Crater floor, which can be useful on those early morning starts. We generally use a private safari vehicle and guide in Northern Tanzania and in this way you get to have complete independence over your game viewing, so you can start and stop when you like and do as much or as little as you like.

As well as game drives in the Ngorongoro Crater, it's easy to arrange walks in the surrounding highlands from here, accompanied by a ranger. Walking in the Crater isn't allowed, but the highlands, though not as rich in wildlife as the Ngorongoro Crater, are still well worth exploring.
