Rooms Crater Lodge Central Views

Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge is a large hotel with 96 comfortable rooms all with ensuite bathrooms (with baths not just showers) and there's central heating for the really cold months. Your main reason for being there is the Crater and you won't be disappointed with the spectacular views. There's also a swimming pool.

All double rooms are large and comfortable with excellent views out towards the crater floor (single rooms are set back a bit.)The central dining areas and bar are pretty characterless affairs with some heavy handed use of velour, and the whole place feels much as you'd expect a lodge with just under 100 rooms to feel. Again this is fine if you're just using it as a base to explore the crater, but if you're after some luxury look at Crater Lodge or somewhere like Plantation Lodge in Karatu.
