Ngorongoro Wildlife Lodge Crater Views

Ngorongoro Wildlife Lodge is our fourth choice (out of four) if you are looking for a place to stay on the Ngorongoro Crater rim.

Ngorongoro Wildlife is set on the southern rim of the Ngorongoro Crater. It has 75 rooms, each of which have good views into the Ngorongoro Crater and the wildlife below. On the other side of the glass things aren't quite so spectacular. Ngorongoro Wildlife lodge is somewhere you should only stay if you are looking for a cheap place to spend the night. The rooms are basic, but clean and there is plenty of hot water. Food tends to be a large buffet where quantity appears to be of far greater significance than quality.

On the positive side of things, views of, and access to Ngorongoro and the wildlife are virually as good here as from any of the other places on the rim, so if your prime objective is the wildlife, and luxury and food quality don't bother you then this could be worth considering.

Have a look at Ngorongoro Crater Lodge for high luxury and Ngorongoro Serena Lodge for a good, if rather bland experience. For something a little different, we'd recommend Plantation Lodge or Kifaru just outside Ngorongoro.
