Walks Wilderness Camping Camp Drives

Oliver's is well placed for game drives into the main park as well as the wilderness area where in some places off road driving is allowed. As well as game drives, guests can take walks lead by experienced and knowledgeable armed guides, who have unrivalled local knowledge of the area. Walks needn't be strenuous; this is not hiking for the sake of it so much as a chance to explore the bush at a grass roots level. Guests can go on short morning or afternoon walks from camp (2 - 3 hours at a time) or anything up to a three day walking safari in the wilderness area, fly camping at night.

Fly camping in the wilderness areas of Tarangire national park is a perfect compliment to a longer stay at Oliver's. The fly camp is light enough to move easily but retains the most important elements - hot showers, comfortable bedding and cold drinks served with great food even though you're miles from anywhere.
