If you're not after luxury, but still don't want to get involved in putting up tents and cooking, consider spending a few days with this private camp. A Tanzania camping safari allows us great flexibility in planning your itinerary through the parks in Northern Tanzania.

Mobile Adventure Camping gives access to some of the best wilderness areas in Tanzania, with the focus primarily on the wildlife.

The word “camping” can put a lot of people off, so you need to be aware that this is quite unlike the camping you'd do at home. You won't be involved in putting up or taking down tents and there'll be a cook with you for the duration. Essentially, camping like this is purposefully aimed at those people who want to experience the very best of Northern Tanzania, but who don't necessarily need to have (or want to pay for) high luxury.

After something a little more luxurious? Look at the Wilderness Mobile Camp or one of Nomad's Seasonal Safari Camps Technically this is still a camping safari, but a highly luxurious one; the standards (food, service, quality of your guide) in these small operations are some of the highest in Tanzania.

The beauty of camping in this way is that we can plan your safari to be in the best location for the time of year you are visiting. We would always encourage people to make full use of the mobility that a camping safari in Tanzania affords and, as well as hitting the main migration spot for the time of year, getting to some of the lesser visited and stunning parts of the Serengeti, the Ngorongoro Crater and Highlands, Lake Manyara National Park and Tarangire National Park. There are numerous places in Tanzania with superb resident game, stunning scenery and often both, which are either inaccessible to, or over looked by, the majority of visitors. The Adventure Camps are also ideally suited to more remote areas of northern Tanzania like Lake Eyasi and Lake Natron.

Details of what the adventure camping includes (based on using private camp sites):

Walk-in, insect-proof dome tents with verandah, each with frame beds, 4” foam mattresses, pillows, sleeping bags, wash basins for every guest, towels and face cloths for every guest, dining tarp/tent with dining table & backed chairs, toilet tent with toilet box-seat, shower tent with “bucket” style shower], all park fees and camp fees, all meals when in camp, private services of a professional English -speaking safari guide, services of cook(s) (and camp hand(s) for more than 2 guests) to prepare all your meals and set up & break camps, private safari transport in 4WD Toyota Land Cruiser(s) with HF and VHF radios, roof-hatch access and window seats for each guest, eco-tourism fee, and any other government taxes and levies.
