On wheels
Game viewing from a vehicle is the mainstay of most safaris. It of course allows you to cover distance over often-arduous terrain and gets you close to the game. Animals are generally much less shy of vehicles than they are of people on foot and in many of the parks they all but ignore vehicles altogether, so photography opportunities are excellent and the whole safari can be conducted in comfort. read more

Walking is without a doubt one of the most rewarding ways to see the African bush and something we would encourage every one to try at some stage, to some degree. Though there are many places where walking may be strenuous, walking in Africa is often quite the opposite. read more
On water
Boat safaris in Africa are a marked contrast to any other type of safari. The luxury here is the peace that comes with being on the water and, of course, a different angle on the animal sightings; hippo, crocs and if you're lucky, elephant in the water. read more
