A private Landrover and guide come as standard and the camp offers walking safaris into the wild southern extremities of the park. Nomad have a number of small tented camps throughout northern Tanzania. They begun as the original camp that followed the wildebeest migration in the Serengeti, the Serengeti Safari Camp and now also have camps in Loliondo - see Nduara Camp Loliondo and here in Tarangire.
The emphasis in these camps is very much on the quality of the whole experience; they have knowledgeable guides whose interest is real and who are intelligent and intuitive, so they quickly pick up on what it is that is of interest to each client. Nomad Tarangire is a very small camp, there are only 4 tents, so this is somewhere to consider if you're serious about wanting to avoid the crowds. Of course it's unrealistic to expect to have Tarangire to yourself in the peak of the season, but staying at a small well run outfit like this makes a world of difference to the experience you'll have.
