Central Kalahari Game Reserve camps - Kalahari Plains Camp
Kalahari Plains Camp
Kalahari Plains is one of the few camps within the Central Kalahari Game Reserve which covers 50,000km2 of Botswana. The camp is well located to make the best of the dramatically changing seasons in this strange landscape. The summer rains attracts herds of zebra and wildebeest in addition to gemsbok and giraffe. As home to one of the largest populations of cheetah in southern Africa, this is a good spot to see these fine animals. Kalahari lions, famous for their black manes, and the brown hyena are also found here.
The camp is a simple, clean and open design which makes the most of the space which is such a feature of the desert landscape. Decks on each room make a night under the stars an integral part of the experience.
Out of camp, the main game viewing is done by vehicle but it is also possible to enjoy the finer points of the bush on walks.
Includes full board accommodation, scheduled activities, soft drinks, beer, house wines and local spirits, park fees where applicable. Does not include special activities, premium wines, champagne and spirits, gratuities, items of a personal nature.
