Masai Mara camps - Kicheche Bush Camp
Kicheche Bush Camp
Spacious and tastefully furnished, the six bespoke tents are equipped with either twin or double beds, one can be made up as a triple if need be.
Despite the wooded location, the verandahs of each tent give a great view looking out over the gently undulating plains of the Conservancy. This is a really great area, as the Olare Orok Conservancy limits the number of beds allowed so you get the brilliant array of Mara fauna on your doorstep, minus the masses.
Olare Orok is the first private conservancy in the Mara eco-system, and has been forged from a collaboration between local Maasai landowners and only 3 eco-camps, of which Kicheche Bush is one. Surrounded by 30,000 acres of prime walking wilderness and positioned perfectly to watch the Wildebeest migration pass by.
With such an amazing location for spotting wildlife, the game drives and walking safaris are the real draw of the Bush Camp. We highly recommend you endure the early wake up call for the sunrise game drive, as it’s sure to give you plenty to talk about over lunch which is, in itself, a delight. Fresh bread and pastries baked daily accompany a variety of African and international dishes, conjured by an extremely competent chef.
Of course, although the wildlife is the headline act at the Bush Camp, you are also offered cultural visits to the local village and school, as well as fly-camping and hot-air balloon excursions.
Incl. FB, conservancy fees, drinks, game drives, bush walks and picnics, laundry, airstrip transfers. Excl. Champagne, fly-camping, hot air ballooning.
