Full day safaris in India

Great news for India safari goers: From 1 October 2016 new, full day safaris will be permitted in India’s Ranthambhore National Park in Rajasthan as well as Kanha and Bandhavgarh in Central India.

A handful of jeeps will be allowed to enter earlier than normal and leave the parks later than those on a standard half day game drive. Together with an expert naturalist, visitors on a full day safari will be able to stay inside the parks in the quieter time of the day to track tiger, leopard, Indian wild dog, hyena and sloth bear as well as enjoy a myriad of bird life. Instead of the norm of sticking to an allocated zone, jeeps will be able to visit all corners of the parks, sustained with picnics for lunch and breakfast.

We can combine your safari with a visit to the Taj Mahal in Agra which has been undergoing some major cleaning. The process should be completed in the next couple of months with the monument restored to its full glory for the start of the main travel season in October. Take a look at our Taj Mahal and Tigers itinerary for inspiration, or get in touch to create your own tailor-made trip.
