Tigers and sloth bear safari

On safari in Tadoba and Satpura national parks

We are looking to try and see some Tigers before they all disappear. We'd like to maximise the time spent in the parks. I'm a very keen photographer.”

What we recommended and why

We quickly realised the importance of being able to get close to the action for photographs. We recommended travelling in April to maximise the chances of seeing tiger in the dry season. The trip then needed to be scheduled around the clients’ existing commitments. We planned the itinerary to avoid India’s busy domestic holidays and arrange transfers on the days when the parks were closed.

We suggested splitting time between Tadoba-Andheri and Satpura National Parks based on our information about the latest tiger movements and life cycles in the former and the authentic safari experience offered in the latter.

After focussing on tiger for several days at Tadoba we reasoned that the clients could then enjoy a variety of other wildlife, including sloth bear, on foot, by boat and canoe as well as open jeep while staying away from the crowds in little visited Satpura.

The tour ended with a magical visit to the Taj Mahal.
