Praslin Island, Seychelles
Lush, laid-back and smaller than Mahé, Praslin offers a slower rhythm, rare endemic wildlife, and some of the most photogenic beaches in the Indian Ocean.

Praslin Island, Seychelles
Praslin is often considered the most effortlessly seductive of the inner islands — quieter than Mahé but no less captivating. Here, dense forests of coco de mer give way to soft white beaches that curve into aquamarine shallows, while sleepy fishing villages hint at a pace of life that’s happily resistant to change.
Smaller and more relaxed than Mahé, Praslin feels like an island that breathes with the rhythm of the tides. It’s easy to explore — a winding coastal road connects a handful of laid-back hotels and small towns — but it still retains pockets of true wilderness, with palm-shaded trails that lead deep into the Vallée de Mai or to near-empty coves.

Best Time To Visit Praslin Island, Seychelles
Dry Season (May to October):
The southeast trade winds bring drier, slightly cooler days with calm seas — ideal for hiking, snorkelling and exploring the island’s beaches. This is considered the best time to visit for those who like warm, settled weather without humidity.
Wet Season (November to April):
Expect hotter, more humid conditions with occasional heavy showers — often short-lived and clearing to blue skies. This time of year brings fewer visitors, lusher landscapes and good underwater visibility for diving and snorkelling, especially early in the season.
