South Luangwa National Park camps - Robin Pope Bushcamps
Robin Pope Bushcamps
Bush camping with Robin Pope Safaris is taking walking safaris back to their routes. The trips are small and private (maximum four participants), so you can also indulge your own particular interests and not have to worry about whether the others in the group share them.
The trips are typically quite short (two or three nights) but the experience is intense and the opportunity to learn a huge amount very quickly is immense because they are always led by one of the most experienced guides of the superb Robin Pope Safaris guiding team.
The emphasis is on experiencing the bush and getting "back to" nature, pausing to look at tracks, enjoying the sounds and smell of the bush and having the benefit of a top guide's vast knowledge applied to anything you come across. Almost the best bit is that you'll be shadowed by one of the best Zambian institutions: The Tea Caddy, who will ceremoniously pop open his backpack under a shady tree so you can enjoy a well-earned brew...now that's luxury.
The experienced crew will set up and take down the tents as you move, ensuring that you'll arrive to the welcome sight of a camp in full swing: warm shower, cold drink and hot meal. You will be extremely comfortable but without any over-the-top luxury. There is no electricity in camp - only paraffin lamps and bush showers - which is, quite frankly, the way it should be. These trips usually run for two or three nights combined with a stay of a couple of nights in one of the permanent camps.
Includes full board accommodation, scheduled activities, soft drinks, beer, house wines and local spirits, park fees where applicable. Does not include special activities, premium wines, champagne and spirits, gratuities, items of a personal nature. Laundry may not be available until you reach a permanent camp.
