Trip Overview
Inspired by the opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum, this is a one-off 10-night small-group journey, 7–17 October 2026, split between Cairo and a privately chartered, eight-cabin dahabiyya sailing from Aswan to Luxor. Limited to just 16 participants, it’s designed to cover Egypt’s essential sites properly, without the pace or scale of a standard group tour.
Expect a full day at the Grand Egyptian Museum (including the complete Tutankhamun collection), a full day at the Great Pyramids and Saqqara, and expertly guided visits throughout the Nile voyage, with the option to add Abu Simbel. The trip is co-led by a professional Egyptologist and our own Vanessa Janion, and is priced at £7,550 per person, including UK international and domestic flights.

From Cairo, fly south to Aswan to join the Dahabiyya Hadeel for the next stage of the journey. With just eight cabins on board, life quickly settles into a quieter rhythm as you sail north towards Luxor, stopping at temples and riverbank sites along the way. Days unfold on deck or ashore, guided by the Nile rather than a timetable, with evenings spent moored in peaceful stretches of the river.
