Paro camps - Gangtey Palace
This 19th century Bhutanese courtyard styled building was once the residence of the Paro Penlop (Governor), who also was one of the princes. Though the facilities are simple Gangtey Palace has historical charm and there is a relaxed and friendly ambiance. The central building is converted into five deluxe rooms with a few pieces of antique furniture and wall hangings. These rooms are accessible by wooden staircases. There are 14 additional rooms surrounding the main building. The hotel is well located, just 10 minutes from the town, with super views across Paro and Rinpung Dzong.
