we offer....
Planning a safari?
Planning a trek?
  • Time slows as you trek Morocco's Mountains and deserts or beneath snow capped peaks in the Indian Subcontinent. Walking allows you to savour the present moment in a way many of us have forgotten

  • From the stark high altitude deserts of Ladakh, to village walks in the foothills of the Himalayas and the green rolling hills of Kerala our privately guided walks and treks in India get you far away from the crowds.

  • Escape to the Himalayas and stride out among the highest mountains in the world in India, Bhutan and Nepal. The views are simply astounding - and you don’t have to be a hardened trekker to see them.

  • Rugged mountain beauty and ancient cliff side monasteries, hills shrouded in myths and legends and yak bells clanging in the night - explore on foot and discover the ‘real’ Bhutan

  • Hit the trail in the ultimate trekking destination – Nepal. Surrounded by epic mountain scenery in the foothills of the Annapurnas there’s a comfy place to stay each night no matter what your ability or level of trek.

Planning a trip?
Like the idea of a mobile camp?
Planning a family adventure?
  • Let's face it who wants to spoil their children with luxury hotels? Kids want to be active; get outside, get wet, get dirty...Great family travel is a balance between exploring new horizons...and full-on no holds barred fun

  • Whether you're clambering over massive dunes in Namibia or exploring the Atlas Mountains with a private camp and a string of pack animals

  • Or disappearing off on safari to the wild edges of the Serengeti with your own private camp

  • having an immersive (but not overwhelming) experience of different cultures in India, Bhutan or Nepal; riding elephants, running barefoot in temples or hiking with yak herders.

  • And of course there are plenty of opportunities to hit the beach, from the colour and culture of places like Essaouira to Zanzibar or the pristine beauty of small private islands

You want to travel, not feel like a tourist

Planning a safari to East Africa?
Heading to Southern Africa?
  • For natural phenomena on a truly dramatic scale Southern Africa takes some beating. From Botswana’s Okavango Delta to Namibia’s Skeleton Coast, South Africa’s Drakensberg Mountains to the sheer scale of the Victoria Falls.

  • With its exclusive concessions Botswana offers game viewing devoid of the crowds that plague some parts, whether you choose one of the country’s many luxury lodges or prefer to take a more traditional approach with your own private camp.

  • For a traditional approach Zambia’s bush camps take some beating in our view. Luangwa is not only one the better places to see leopard in Africa, but the home of proper walking safaris – combine with Kafue or Lower Zambezi for the full game experience

  • Zimbabwe has long been renowned for the quality of its guiding and if you’re looking to experience big game up close on foot then you’ll be hard pushed to beat the experience of walking amongst the elephant of Mana Pools on the shores of the Zambezi River

  • With its massive dunes and extraordinary colours, Namibia is one of Africa’s most photogenic countries and a superb place to self drive. In our view the Skeleton Coast with its shipwrecks, seal colonies, dunes and breathtaking wilderness steals the show

Planning a trip to Morocco?
  • Morocco’s wilderness rivals anything in Africa from deserts and dunes to wild valleys and passes of the High Atlas. To explore it with your own private mobile camp, carried by mules or camels, is nothing short of a privilege

  • One of the joys of traveling in Morocco is the integrity of the culture. From Moroccan food to the way of life in rural areas to the hubbub of city souks and shops. There’s an intriguing connection with an older way of life that we in the west may have lost

  • In parts of the High Atlas Nomadic tribes still exist with their flocks, travelling between the Sahara and the Mountains to take advantage of seasonal grasslands. Travel on foot with the Ait Atta, their family and animals for seven days for a wonderful insight into nomadic life

  • Explore on foot off the beaten track in the wilder parts of Morocco’s mountains and deserts with a light weight camp; simple in design, but comfortable and stylish and carried on mules or camels

  • Or if you’re looking for real style, take your own private luxury camp, set up just for you in stunning remote desert or mountain spots

Planning a trip to India?
  • India is vast and exceptionally diverse. From forts in Rajasthan to jungles home to tiger and Himalayan villages there’s enough to keep you enthralled for a life time.

  • India is a great melting pot of cultures. We make sure you get to know her heart and soul; join a festival, meet her people, discover her history and explore her spirituality

  • Where you stay in India is all part of the experience. Among our favourites are family owned palaces and remote village houses where location and service are more important than material luxury

  • India is the only place in the world where you can view tiger in the wild but we think other species such as Indian rhinoceros, leopard and sloth bear shouldn’t be ignored

  • Get closer to India’s landscape and rural life on foot along quiet trails away from the crowds on a day walk from Darjeeling, a camping trek in Kerala or hiking between Himalayan villages

Going to Nepal or
Bhutan?
  • Travelling on foot was the only way to get around Bhutan until the 1960’s; walking remains the perfect way to enjoy its pristine environment of sacred mountains and myriad wild plants

  • Bhutan’s unique form of Buddhism permeates every aspect of daily life. Festivals are the highlight and attending one is a fascinating insight into the kingdom’s living culture

  • Nepal is the undisputed trekking capital of the world. Our treks are generally less strenuous than the word trek has come to mean but wherever you are the scenery is nothing short of spectacular.

  • Self-isolation has helped Bhutan preserve its unique culture of timeless traditions, myths and legends. A tour of its fortified monasteries, temples and hillside villages is an experience like no other.

  • From Kathmandu’s crowded alleyways dotted with shrines and vast medieval squares where potters dry their work in the sun to the bazaars of hilltop villages has a vibrant living culture
