The Selous - Africa's largest Game Reserve - is all about walking safaris, boat safaris and fly-camping as well as game driving, while Ruaha offers exceptional all round game viewing including some of east Africa's best lion / buffalo interaction.

This region of Tanzania is quite simply miles from anywhere and mercifully free from all but the more intrepid tourists. Mahale offers unique scenery and some of the best chimpanzee tracking safaris, while Katavi, almost devoid of infrastructure is home densities of large mammals second only to the Serengeti and remains one of the best locations for a truly authentic African experience.
