Tanzania safaris rival a safari any other country in Africa in terms of sheer wilderness, formidable landscapes and volume of wildlife

Tanzania safaris rival a safari any other country in Africa in terms of sheer wilderness, formidable landscapes and volume of wildlife.  At Natural High, we have travelled all over the country, worked in some of its best Tanzania safari camps and lodges and flown all over as bush pilots so we feel qualified to venture such opinions.

Here are a few of the best things to do if you're thinking about heading to Tanzania:

Each of Tanzania’s seven major parks has its own distinct character and balance of species so there’s no typical holiday here.  There is nowhere else in the world like the Serengeti for an intense wildlife experience on a vast scale.  For those that enjoy remoteness, there are few places that equal the Mahale Mountains or the Lake Natron.  You can enjoy game viewing by vehicle, go on a walking safari for some real bush encounters, or seek out marine life and coastal culture on Zanzibar.  If you feel intrepid, there’s always Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in Africa.

Whether you're looking for a luxury Tanzania safari, or simple camps that follow the migration, there's something here for you.  We've also had the pleasure of travelling throughout the country with our own children so if it's a family safari in Tanzania that you are after, we would be delighted to talk you through the options.

The most popular time of year to visit Tanzania is during the dry months between June and October.  However, there are certain areas which are at their prime in the green season, and somehow this remains quite a well-kept secret.  Find out more about the best time to visit Tanzania.
